As we await submissions, the editing team for Northern Eclecta has been making its way
through past journals, and in doing so, I discovered a great piece from Volume 13 titled “The
Ghost Upstairs” by Ryan Janke. I have never been one to read a ghost story and enjoy it, but I can admit that this one was quite good but not because of its creepy elements (which it did have); instead, because of the humor that the author includes. This true ghost story is thrilling but also quite funny, in my opinion, and I would highly recommend you take a look not only this piece but the other pieces scattered throughout. Volume 13, aka “Ghosts,” was definitely one to remember.
